Using 5G networks for the integration of autonomous vehicles (AMR·s) and mobile manipulators (MOMA·s)

2024-04-22

This solution will allow the industry to increase the degree of task automation and the adoption of this type of technology in production and logistics environments

LINQCASE is developing two new lines of research:

On one hand, a fleet manager for AMR"s and MoMa"s (mobile robots) so that logistics scenarios can be performed by a fleet of interoperable robots, instead of a single robot.

On the other hand, a 5G communication infrastructure that enables communication between the fleet manager and the fleet of robots with a higher communication bandwidth and interconnected to other plant assets in real time.

This solution will allow the industry to increase the degree of task automation and the adoption of this type of technology in production and logistics environments.

This technology has been developed together with the Ceit research centre, a member of BRTA, within the framework of the AZKARTU project, which has been financed by the Basque Government"s Hazitek programme of grants for industrial research or experimental development projects.
